Shoes
Still stiletto, still pointy; high or low heel, boots, pumps or sling-backs. (Hint: buy them a half-size larger for extra toe comfort.) Still great: boot-cut pants to the floor with pointy toes just showing.

Fabrics
Satin, lacey accents, tweeds, pinstripe, camouflage and paired-down military elements, lots of studs or eyelets — some designers will take this in an 80s direction, some a military one. You decide which one suits you. Check out Christian Dior for a crazy combination of both. We decided to go in the subtle direction, so you can wear it again and again.
