Vivian G. has been a loyal customer of ours for 10 years, and she has taken our pieces away with her on every trip, from Vietnam to the Cape. She has always told me that my pieces are ideal for travel. They roll into nothing, take up little room in the suitcase, and arrive pretty wrinkle-free. Plus, she says, since you can make so many outfit combos with such few pieces, you can travel light!

So on your next getaway, try packing fewer pieces that you can mix-match and add lots of belts, necklaces and bags. Don't forget some day-off comfy clothes too. It is important to take a moment off from fashion when no one is around, like in the hotel room or something.

Depending on the season, you may want to go with more colorful combos, but for a long weekend in NYC, here are my picks from the Summer Collection. In the suitcase (14x22x8 on wheels) at the right, there are lots of options for your many possible moods; the pieces take up little space, leaving room for makeup, 4 pairs of shoes (my usual amount), barettes, belts and bags.
